Fire And Ice
|
In ancient Chinese mythology, There are 5 mystical tigers, each master of his domain.
Yellow Tiger, Supreme ruler over all and symbolic of the sun.
Red Tiger, Ruler of the Summer, and master over fire elementals
Blue tiger, Ruler of the Winter and master of Water Elementals
Black Tiger, Ruler of the Spring and master of Earthly elementals
White Tiger, Master of the Autumn, and master of the metallic elementals.
The strongest of Yellow Tigers sons, Summer and Winter, Fire and Ice battle constantly, each fighting to replace the other year after year, millenia after millenia, vying for ultimate control of the earth. When Blue tiger (Winter) defeats red tiger (Summer), he is often strong, blowing cold and snow around to ensure he stays ruling the Earth. After a few months he gets complacent so he allows his weaker brother Black tiger (Spring) to rule in his stead. After a few more months, Red Tiger has recovered from his wounds and challenges Blue Tiger once again, where upon he defeats winter and rules supremely on earth, using his powers of heat and flame to prove his rule over all.
However he too becomes complacent a few months later so he allows his younger weaker brother White Tiger (Autumn) to temporarily rule while he rests, until the next time Blue tiger attacks and wrests control of the world from him. Thus are the seasons of the world created in this eternal battle between two equally matched tiger brothers while their father Yellow Tiger, the sun watches over them all.
