Albany's first ship board duty had been aboard Ranger. Although the work had been hard, she had made a number of good friends as well as learned a great deal about Super Nova class ships.
In her entire time aboard Ranger, however, she had never been to the Command Center. It sat many floors up from the service decks and only pilots and bridge crew went there.
Now she was on her way to the CC. She and her two companions had chosen to walk, passing through the ship's Link Chamber on the way to the lift to the Command Center.
