Here only a part of the tapestries for the project "Aubusson tisse Tolkien". At the end, there will be 16 tapestries. 2 are rugs: the Middle Earth map, and the Numenorean carpet. All the 16 will be shown altogether next Summer at Aubusson. The 16 make a "wall hanging", and a wall hanging is a following of scenes telling a story. By the past, a noble could have for example several tapestries telling important steps of the Odysseus' journey. In general, themes were often myths, or Christian stories.
