No, You can't - The Larger version

Original is here

This is a double sized version for those having trouble seeing the fine details in the original. Unfortunately, now it is easy to see that I had to pose the Mind Flayer on the ball (?) of his foot / pseudopod and that Illicites doesn't have much of an expression.

Mind Flayer, Sixus1, from his site, but currently available at sharecg

Thank you all for your comments. mtdana, thanks particularly for the constructive criticism.

I usually size the horizontal between 1600 and 1920, but another thing to consider is testing some closer crops where the main subjects are 2/3 of the vertical (or more). Like you I work hard on the surrounding environment and want to show as much of it as possible but sometime you have to be brutal and crop it out. But don't compromise on composition - I like how the road leads to your characters and the FG flowers but you could crop a little at the bottom and maybe half of the sky. Just some things to consider.

This version is much nicer as one can see the details of the mind flayer much clearer now.

Mind Flayers (Illithids) definitely do not have much of an expression at all is true kind of hard to have an expressive face when half of ones face is tentacles. They are certainly the scary ones in D&D to say the least the monster manual calls them a "medium aberration, lawful evil". Although I would think that "beholders" are pretty damn close

Ooooooooooooh! Now I see! The Mind Flayer. Cool. Thanks for the larger view. Now my aging eyes can see it, lol. Sounds like you are a perfectionist like me. There have been times I start a render and get halfway or even all the way through and notice a minor error like the foot pose you mention and have to cancel it and start all over again after fixing it. LOL! Artists eh?
