2nd Place ~ Bastet
|
Bastet's Divine Worshippers praying her for she doesn't turn into Sekhmet once again.
Because there is a story, telling alternatively the names of Hathor, Sekhmet and Bastet.
Once upon a time, a part of the humanity was in rebellion against Râ, the Sun-god. He decided to punish the guilties by sending his beloved daughter, Hathor, which was his "eye". She turned to love the taste of blood and was gone to kill all humans below the Sekhmet's shape. Thanks to another god, she finally drunk wine in place of blood. The following of the story differs also from a place to another, but in some versions at the end, Sekhmet calmed down and became Bastet.
In a way, the triple goddess is there also in Egypt.
