The rescue

Having located a group of Gaian clones, the next step was getting them out to a place of safety. This was no easy task and the animal welfare group proceeded with extreme caution. The first time an attempt like this was made ended in disaster. Enthusiastic volunteers went straight in unaware of what they would face. Seventeen of them ended up in hospital trying to extricate one Gaian. Celeste's group had scanned the area and discovered nine of them so everyone was understandably nervous. It was agreed they needed some safe way to deal with the situation. Food was left for the Gaians to ease any possible stress while Celeste had some plastic animal containers shipped in. They would lower one over the area and flood it with medi-vapour. When the Gaians were all asleep, it would be safe to retrieve them. Carnage was the first one to be recovered...
