The Tiger and the Dragon
|
The Tiger and the Dragon represent the long lasting feud between two rival Samurai warriors Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kinshen during the years when Oda Nagunaga was trying to unify japan into a single country. Shortly after defeating combined Oda and Shingao forces, Takeda died on May 13, 1573. It is believed he died of pnemonia but other sources say it was a sniper shot. When he learned of Takeda's death, Uesugi was quoted as having said "I lost my great rival. We will never have another hero like that."
