I started the process to get badging for one of the customers on the Federal side back in November.

Got a call on my personal, which I did not answer but, did check with personnel, before I even returned the call since it came in on my personal phone.
So apparently the Fed's will call a personal number first, before a work number

Apparently, I have yet another interview with this customer, and all for a badge to be "unescorted" to the bathroom and in and out of the work area.

Ready for the real fun, as mentioned, and I do understand that security is an issue ... however my application has been in the queue since 11/2018

And you are just now getting to me

The annoying part is that I have the final interview next week and I can kiss two hours of my Monday good bye to accommodate this task.

I am so going to stop chewing through the leather straps.

That is so true ... however it is so annoying that I have to once more again, have to be subjected to yet another background check.

Tis so annoying, how many times and by how many different agencies, do the same thing over and over again.

I so dislike having to give up personal information to multiple agencies. Considering that my information was stolen once and still to this day I have to use a PIN number to file my income taxes.


The warning that one should not give out your personal information 




 yet every time one turns around they insist on having it to do the most mundane of tasks

Even more fun, went out to the site on Friday and brought all of the upgrade equipment.

Met the GC's electrician foreman and he seemed to be concerned about the statement of also working on the relocation of the existing radio system.

The fun part is that obviously someone is misinformed as to what is going on. Why, they are fearful that we are actually moving the existing radio system to the new tower, when in actuality we are installing a completely new system.

Turns out that there is a distinct lack of understanding of terms between us and them.

And now here is the fun part, originally the fifth floor was to be built out in its entirety, and then someone changed all that and now the fourth and fifth floor are not to be built out, well how is power supposed to be provided for the BDA so you can get your CO?

With great difficulty obviously.

The equipment is installed on the fifth floor and that is where I will require hospital critical power, A/C and a connected ground. Which as mentioned before still does not exist.

At any rate though we did bring out all of the relocation equipment and installed it in the rack provided. What I found amusing is that although the other two installers unracked everything and packed it for transport. When they installed it, however they seemed unable to remember what side of the window filter is the top and which is the bottom.


 

So the real reason why this is all a problem ... is that even if we get the CO for the tower, more likely it will be a TCO (temporary certificate of occupancy) there will be several outages of power as they continue to build out the fifth floor. Which if they persist in that, there will be ever so much fun, as the brains of the system (DMS) has a hard drive in it and as we all know hard drives do not like sudden power outages.

First off, let's clear one thing up.....

EVERYONE has to have a PIN number to file their taxes.  I have to and the wife had to and Lorna has to my neighbors have to etc etc etc.   

SECURITY is the name of the game nowadays.  I'd much rather have to remember a simple pin then to have someone hack me.  Which is why I use VPN's , Password generators, change passwords yearly, etc etc etc.....

First off, let's clear one thing up.....

EVERYONE has to have a PIN number to file their taxes. 

How odd up till I had my identity hacked I never had to use a PIN number to file my tax returns.

Additionally my PIN number is mailed to me by the IRS prior to the tax season.


It changes each year ...

But you can change it manually yourself also.   There is an option for that.....

I've changed mine many times.  I do that with my Medicare and Social Security sign in options also...I use a pin.  and when I mail them anything....I use a pin.

I use a pin to sign into Facebook, a pin to sign into all of my accounts....and that's in addition to my password.

Well, it is getting to the point at the hospital for the DAS install that I am at long last waiting on others.

Checked the work of the others today at the site to see if it was all good and up to "standards"  minimum company standards this is .... hopefully mine might be met.

And yes I am harder on myself then on others ....

The nonsense started with the meeting I attended this morning to make certain that all the goals for the CO inspection can be met.

Yes, they are still off on several topics but I will not bore you with all of the details.

Then right before end of day I get an email forwarded to me crying that my remote in the first floor comm room needs to be moved.

Would have been nice if someone had mentioned prior to me installing it exactly which rack it was to be installed in, I only put it in the rack that had RF cable already pulled to it ... apparently that was not the correct rack ...
