Well, it is official the antenna lines that were ran over with a cart at the hospital have to all be replaced.

Three runs each at 130' ...

 

Color me annoyed

So got together a quote and submitted it to them, should make a certain contractor quite annoyed when they get back charged for damage done by their crew.

My problem is going to be when am I supposed to find time to do the "install over"

So passed the quote over to the hospital and they are balking and state I need to talk to the GC and work it out that way.

 

Passed it to the engineer who has the time to deal with the politics of contracts gone bad.

So it should be quite interesting what happens next as I read his reply to them.

On to the next event:

Went to do another MedCom install at a different hospital, and what do I find when I arrive they only managed to correct one of the four deficiencies that was the GC's responsibility to address prior to our arrival on site.

Did manage to get a large portion of the install completed despite them dropping the ball. Mainly because I was able to get all three of us out there to work on it. So it went better then I thought, as all that is left to do is the jumpers from the polyphasors to the radios and then make the CAT 5 connections to the remotes and test for audio from the county.

So calling this a win on all fronts.

However, now I am supposed to go to the shop in the morning early, as in an hour early, as there is a shipment that is to be delivered, but there will be no one to accept it ... except ... you guessed it me, since they asked me to show up even earlier then I already do ...

I am so going to stop chewing through the leather straps.

Oh and did I mention I still have to find time to review the material for the DAS vendor that we use and get re-certified ????

Wonder when I am going to get time to do this since I am supposed to do so before the end of the month.

That is where I am at, if one wants me to study for an exam at the same time.

BTW, I have the review material it weighs in at 3 GB of data, not light reading to say the least
