Happy New Year Everyone!

I woke this morning, shuffled to the kitchen to make my First COFFEE of the New Year, and before I can even start, there is Tattoo, poor face all scratched up, and the whole coffee kit area a shambles.   He'd had not one but TWO major accidents over there.   And he'd managed to put the sheets of paper towels and pot holders OVER the mess.   That is kind of amazing, I think.  The vet told me years ago his allergies and immune system troubles will likely make it difficult for him to 'contain' his wastes at times.  He sometimes soils the area and himself when he sleeps.   He did not get scolded, spanked, sprayed or anything.   He meowed pitifully.   I cleaned up the mess, Lysol the whole area, and THEN start my coffee.  I poured it and went to my bedroom.  20 mins later, went back for another cup.   Tattoo had gone to the 'apartment' already.  I greeted Mogwai, who really craves attention.  Finally, I spoke with Tattoo.  More COFFEE.   Meds and insulin, breakfast finally.   More COFFEE.   Finally feeling almost human!  Hard to believe this is already my fourth cup!

LOL......I have that many before my second eye is open 

Yup on the scolding etc.  Oz gets in trouble at times by getting into things he shouldn't....and sometimes when he does that...he ends up punishing himself.....

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray this cushy life to keep.
I pray for toys that look like mice,
And sofa cushions, soft and nice.
I pray for gourmet kitty snacks,
And someone nice to scratch my back,
For windowsills all warm and bright,
For shadows to explore at night.
I pray I'll always stay real cool
And keep the secret feline rule
To never tell a human that
The world is really ruled by cats!

Well, now the little one, Smoky has been doing nothing but getting in my lap off and on and going to sleep.

Not something he does on a regular basis ... the funny part was at one point based on the position he had assumed, he actually started tipping over in my lap and woke up multiple times to correct his posture
