Any bruising should be reported to your Doctor if you didn't know how it got there.

Plants and Wings3D
« on: March 27, 2017, 11:22:39 AM »
For the Tetrapylon, I made some plants in Ivy generator ; it's fast and useful to do.
I have just checked, and it looks like:

- ivy plants are in triangulation
- it's possible to dissolve (right click) part of branches we want not to keep.
- it's possible to remove leaves with "hole" option (right click).
- it's possible to move one or several leaves.

It was just a speed test, but I guess we can do more and reorganize all the plant. But for leaves, it's "at random" in my point of view for the moment.

I haven't used Ivy Generator, with Wings3D smoothing the branches should be possible.

Don't forget to isolate branches from leaves in your selection, otherwise all will be smoothed. I tried few moments ago  :yeow: I'm afraid some leaves are also smoothed because of number (and even using the "I" command to catch all the similar faces).
I tried to to duplicate only leaves, to avoid an issue, but it seems impossible.

Maybe last resort is to duplicate the complete plants, then keep only leaves for one, and only branches for the other  :whuaat: :ummm:

And only one plant has it's size multiplied almost by 3 :panic:

I got your Ivy - it looks good! I knew I had seen a tutorial on selection by materials. I tried it on Ivy one and it worked perfectly and smooth adds a lot closeup but not much at distance. I also included the Select Every Nth loop because that is what I used to create the Shawl Fringe and it is a big time saver. The details are attached - Have a great week end!!!

:whuaat: Do you think I saw Similar materials :thud:  Thank you to lift this point!

Next step is to prepare little plants to test - because a plant in more than 3Mo isn't saved by my computer. I obtain barely the apparition of a mtl file.

To move leaves, your trick with selection by material is very useful
On a tree for example, I separate the 3 parts thanks to this (young and adult leaves, and trunk).
Trunk stays at the same place. It's the 2 kind of leaves I moved, in x (at left for one, at right for other).

After, I added a texture on the first kind of leaves I want sort on branches. Like this, I know the direction of each leaf.
I don't know yet if this will work in Poser and Daz Studio, but I believe it could.

I'm only on the first branch :psycho:

First branch tested and it works in Daz! So in Poser too.
