Apache Open Office - fully functional and FREE
« on: August 08, 2008, 12:43:03 AM »

Updated 05.21.2018

Apache Open Office
http://www.openoffice.org/

It is not only free to use but also to distrubute with others and install on as many computers as you would like---for those with more than 1 computer...lol
Read all about and to download it. It is from OpenOffice.org and it is a program that is compatible with MS Word Suite. It does what the big guy does too...graphics/word/spreadsheets/powerpoint.

Free so give it a try and see what happens.

Just make sure that you reverse save your work to the Office stuff so others can open it. For if you save it in Open Office format the MS products can't understand it. Yet Open Office can understand theirs. So just be careful how you save your finished documents

And Yes I use this on my home system

I've been using this program for a few years before I got msoffice07, and still use it on occasion. It's a great program pretty much has everything Msoffice has. And it does open any msword docs too.

It is simple enough to use and you can do everything in it that you can do in the Office suite. Just be mindful how you save it when sending it to others. As it will open all the Office format stuff so a great suite of software that be free
