Any bruising should be reported to your Doctor if you didn't know how it got there.

Adobe Illustrator CS4 Tip - Ruler Guides That End At the Trim

In discussing the new multiple Artboard feature in a recent Illustrator class, one artist had a question about Ruler Guides. She began, "In InDesign, if I click on either Ruler and drag a out a Ruler Guide to a page, the Guide ends at the edges of the page. But in Illustrator, if I turn on my Rulers (View>Rulers), and I drag a Ruler Guide to a particular Artboard, it extends beyond the trim to the edges of the work area, right through all the rest of my Artboards. I'm getting overwhelmed by Guides that are not necessary while working on certain Artboards. Is there a way to confine a Ruler Guide to a particular Artboard?"

"Yes! If you know the trick," I replied. "Select your Artboard tool (Shift+O) and click on the Artboard to which you'd like to confine your Ruler Guides. Now just click and drag a Guide from either Ruler the way you normally would and release your mouse while over the selected Artboard. The Ruler Guides will be confined to this one Artboard."

Fear not,
You are never alone,
I am there to comfort and guide you...
Always.
