Installation for a new program is not always easy to do. And i don't remember all steps to do this with DS4 :whuaat:
But normally a step allows us to choose where our "runtime" (named here "My library") is.
For example, i choosed to leave "My library" with the program in
C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library
But you have normally the possibility to choose the path during installation, even in "My Documents". Perhaps another member will have a different example, i don't know.
I give one advice: avoid as often as possible the "Daz connect" thing, because packs are on the cloud. So you need to be on the web to work with them.

The last year, i had a problem with the right to write a file. Even if it was for my DS3, i could resolve the issue before to use DS4.
So, when i saved a scene, datas were there: AppData => Local => VirtualStore

On another topic for datas and DS4, when you use files you have caches coming here
C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\dson\cache\data
It's possible to remove them regularly, because they are different of those in your folder "My Library". But make the cleaning after you need no more of them for your scene.

In My Library\data\auto_adapted you have also datas for your scenes. Some designers create files to sort in this folder. But the majority of folders in this folder will be for Poser/DS3 format files (i don't know for Poser, but for DS3 it's the equivalent of "data\3_0" path).
If you don't take care, sooner you will have many many folders there and many Go lose in your computer. So keep here too an eye on this folder.
