Giveaway of the Day

Giveaway of the Day

Welcome, and how may I help you?

Come visit with all in here, have some coffee or your favorite beverage, and have loads of fun. The bar staff and keeper are always here to fill your orders. This is our gathering place where we will share greetings, pass secrets, gossip, and enjoy each other's company.

Jherrith has agreed to fire up the grill on the weekends with some of his tasty specials.....and the COFFEE will always be hot and fresh, especially with Fafnir and his bevy of waitresses.

How wonderful, we were to deliver racks of equipment to sites that were supposedly ready.

If you guessed that was sarcasm, move to the head of the class.

One site we could move the racks inside although it took five of us to do so since the path to the shelter was dirt and we had to dodge obstacles, and let us not forget the 12" slab that had no ramp to facilitate moving racks into it ... yes we did have a solution for the event but trying to pull, push racks that weigh over 500# through fill dirt is so not on my list of things to do  .....

Drove to site number two and what do we find, a 120' trench dug in for them to run power to the shelter ... since it cuts right in front of the shelter ... so not moving anything in there .... remember 500# a piece. Not jumping any ditch with equipment of the weight ... just saying.
Last site, the shelter had not even been set yet :thud:

I am beginning to think some project managers have "mush for brains"

Went over to the OP center to drop off console position and what do we hear when we get there... "oh we are having a special lunch event and you will have to wait :rat-atat:

Yet ye ole brain dead thinks that although the truck is left over night and there is a threat of all day rain at those sites that we will be back tomorrow to finish the delivery.

For some reason he thinks he can pervert the laws of nature and we will be able to drive from Orlando to Bunnel in time to move the racks into the shelter between the rain and muddy dirt leading into the shelters.

 :sure:

Like this is the only tasks on my personal dinner plate ... arrogant puppy ...

Well, if that is a working definition of better then the norm ... then yes

... although I am beginning to become worried about thy definitions of "normal"

Yesterday was cancelled because of rain  ... so after pulling strings to get another person lined up since the other had a doctor's appointment today ... we did manage to get back up there to finish unloading the truck.

There were other hiccups in the time line to manage this ... but we will spare thee the tedious details.

Just imagine anything that could go wrong ... DID .. nonetheless some how all of us managed to persevere and completed the unloading.

We so have to stop pulling rabbits out of you know where ....

The real fun was bring the truck back to Orlando, sorry but I have never driven a 26' truck before and neither has the substitute worker.

Ah well, best I can do is lay on the horn and floor it .... :heeheehee:

Let me tell you that truck is the most uncomfortable and unstable vehicle I have had the displeasure to drive .....

My body still hurts in places I did not know could be affected.

Did get back to the shop without having to fill out inch thick forms in triplicate and give up a pint of blood so I am calling that a win.

What can I say I am not a truck driver ......

Yup....If you've never driven something that big it's tough at first.  Making corners on tight roads is a learning experience by itself.....LOLOL

Indeed I jumped the curb twice, once when leaving the place and once when I got back to the shop
