Any bruising should be reported to your Doctor if you didn't know how it got there.

:thud:

Only have dull, boring, tedious and commonplace screen shots of file structure that are pertinent to this discussion.

:tearlaugh:

Got plenty more text though :heeheehee:

Be very careful on Tutorial 101C-1 as they indicate that you should not install the uninstaller.
They state that the uninstaller is for DAZ Studio not Poser.

Yet when you scroll down you see that they are installing the file in DAZ Studio.

Therefore if you are installing in DAZ and the uninstaller is for DAZ only then surely you would install the uninstaller instead of selecting the "no" radio button.

I install the uninstaller and I have used it with no difficulty within Poser. As mentioned I do not use DAZ so can not advise as to anything to do with its operation.

So take this one with a grain of salt.

Everyone's computer set up will be different so I advise be careful while setting the preferences in Poser at one point they say if you have memory issues do not select a particular setting. However while I am looking at these setting that they indicate you should select and keeping the fact that all might not have large amounts of memory I take issue with the settings.

First why would you need 100 undo levels, if you want to suck up your memory go ahead. I use a setting of 20

Second maximum cached renders why would you need 10 again if you want to suck up your memory resources go ahead. I use a setting of 2

If you have a multi-core processor (number of threads) remember to select the number of cores you have on that tab also do select the "separate process" radio button.

One other thing that I recommend is that once you get your stage set up the way you want it with all of your selections set, on the very first tab in the general preferences "Document" make certain that first you select "Launch to preferred state" radio button. Then click on the button "Set Preferred State"

This way all of your hard work to set it up to your liking will not vanish and it will open up to your setting instead of the factory defaults.

Guess I could always put pictures of Kianna giving direction in with the text.

Hmm, I wonder ...

well she did mention that they were written awhile ago so if we could get some newer ones for Poser 6+ (i think hers were geared towards P5 --- then that would be grand to have for our site members, especially those that are just starting out.

No clue if Poser Pro is set up like P6+ either

I use Poser 7 and do not remember much of how Poser 6 is set up I believe it is similar but can not swear to it.

I believe the early versions of Poser Pro are similar as I recall that I typically have to select the PP version of a product for it to work in either Poser 6 or Poser 7.

Now Poser 8 is another story as when you try to load an item made with it or Poser 2010 it gives you an error message saying that it is made with a newer version of Poser and it will try to read it.

I can include additional scribblings indicating the 411 on how I have Poser 7 set up on my system and what settings I use if interested.

I will also be continuing my dissertation on external runtimes
