Daz Studio 4.9 Pro

I'm not sure if this time i have the good tree for DS4. On my previous computer, it was really "personnal" installation

For my part, all start like this: C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D
At this point, I have 3 folders:
- DAZStudio4: bin, display, docs, scripts... are inside
- PostgreSQL CMS: i believe it's an installer? Brief, I don't know what is this folder
- Studio, which contains only one folder, the Graal: My Library


My Library is the equivalent of "runtime" for Poser and DS3 if i can say. You have several fils inside, more or less important, and between them:
- Animals: all is saying by the title.
- data: this is a mix between datas of DS3 and Geometries i guess. It's one of important folders.
    Remember you, if you use and save often things which come from DS3 (so Poser format), you will have datas saved in "auto_adapted" folder. Sometimes you have files for DS4 only inside. For example, i must keep "PerfectEscape_370566" folder, because if I remove it, my Perfect Escape can't work. But if you have things with names of DS3 files, you can remove them when you have ended definitively the work with your scene. Otherwise, you have the risk to see datas come bigger and bigger.
- People: all Genesis generations are there, personna by personna. Each owns his/her own folders for clothes, hair, materials (often for skins, eyes...).
   With them, you can have other characters: emitoguy, Dawn, Dusk... All characters in DS4 format.
- Props is a mix for architecture, furnitures, food, nature, weapons...
- Runtime: a false friend when we are used to DS3 and Poser. Here you find 2 folders which are Support (for my part i removed it) and Textures.
- Scripts: yep again script folder by here too.
- Shader Presets

See attachment . My main issue is there is 2 My Libraries. Which one? In Daz 3 there was only one

I suppose "My Daz Connect Library" is for packs only on the cloud like make a wish; if it's the case, you have nothing to add there.

I see you haven't the same tree than me. I hope Agent could help us on this.

You have no reason to mess with the Daz Connect Library, thats a default folder that Daz 4.9 puts in now because of being able to use Daz Connect inside the program. The program itself deals with that folder. All you have to worry about is the "My Library" folder. That is where you will manually add files to.

That's right, I confirm that all your content is in the 'My Library' directory.
If you want to do manual installations, you just have to locate the 'My Library' on your hard drive and then, you can unzip your zip files in it.
