Rights to write in files
« on: July 26, 2015, 02:03:46 PM »
As you know now, i have Windows 8 and i put slowly but surely my programs on. And thank you to all people who try to help me  :mwah:

But i discovery a problem: creation in AppData of a new folder, VirtualStore. And in this folder, i saw these last days my new datas for new scenes in DS3  :thud:
And if i tried to displace these datas in the real folder in DS3, nothing worked  :thud: :thud: :thud:

In fact, VirtualStore is a sort of "security" for your programs. Because the computer refuse often by default that you write in program files.

I show you the actual interior of "VirtualStore" for me.

The chance allowed that i found a tutorial in french for XP. I leave you the link, because you have screen captures for XP.
But now, i will try to explain you for Windows 8. Sorry, screen captures are in french with my computer.

Finally, it's more simple than XP.

You go in your folder for your program (or anything you would write) and you do a right click with the mouse.
You select properties

In properties, go in the tab "Security". You find:
- name of the selected folder.
- all users of computer (selected in blue who you want to change authorizations)
- list of authorizations of the selected user.

For me, the problem was i hadn't authorization to write in Daz3 folder. So, i check in "authorization".
Then, you need to apply, thank to modify button. A new little window appears, and you see a list of all your files in Daz which pass, around 2 minutes for this.
And don't forget to click on OK button after.

After, you can check saving a new scene  :alice-cat:
