Tile floors in Daz....

I know someone told me how to do it but can't remember if it was here in the Attic or at Poser for Dummies.....how to create a tiled(black/white) floor on Daz, or directed me to a tutorial? I want to do it again n=but for the love of my brain, I can't remember how... Any help please!

way too long since I used ds
but should be a node (brick) with checker ( or brick ) as its name
mostly have sizes and 3 colours ...brick1 brick2 and mortar(grout)


not a lot of help but maybe give you something to look for


ps can just use an image

Ok so I tried finding somewhere in Daz how to do it and yeap, my brain is def. fried  ....So went to renderosity's free stuff and found the toon floor I grabbed years ago and lost at old computer.....but I still want to learn how to make my own!!!


Now, how can I make the floor look shiny(mirror image like)?

For a mirror floor it's a kind of play with reflection /refraction.

Basically, your floor must have something to reflect; ceiling, wall(s)... and of course what you have in your scene! Otherwise you have nothing in areas with nothing to show.

I didn't make a mirror since a moment, and my notes are in a place I can't touch... because of cat on lap 
I think you must have "diffuse color" in white 1%
[I don't remember if the glossiness has a role in the story]
Reflection must be strength 100% for a miror
Refraction, I think it was something like 0.33 I used.
And for the options glossy/mat/plastic/skin... I don't remember too. Maybe glossy plastic or metallic.

In Poser or Blender, shiny tiled floors are pretty easy. Not sure about in DS, but hope this might help...it seems to be along the same lines.

dRaCX, I grabbed that floor, looks nice! Aelin, it worked, I made my "primitive plane" floor shiny! Thank you both    ...
I still need to figure out how to make the "plane" floor like checkered board tiles...
