Eating healthy....Loosing Weight....

I just had carrot sticks for breakfast  :thud: . Trying to eat more healthier but sometimes it just doesn't work.... For one, fruits and vegetables are so expensive these days. I'm a cashier at a super market and the things that people buy! The organics, in 1 or 2 grocery bags not even full they spend between 60 and 80 bucks!!  :thud: I will never survive, lol. And then fruits/vegetables, I had a customer last week spent 97 bucks on just fruits and greens, nothing else. I looked at him and was " are you serious?" he said 'yeah, it can be expensive' I said you think so? He didn't even have meats or dairies.....

Anyway I'm trying here for the sake of our daughter, mu husband and myself. Our son, well he is skinny and works out at the gym.

Every year we get in the routine of working out but something happens and it goes down hill. For my husband was shoulder surgery and change of schedule at work. He used to go to work a bit earlier and work out, schedule changed and he stopped. Me, 2 years ago started getting pain on my feet and went to doctor and ended up having tendernitis(spell check), then it turned into something I can't even pronounce the word. So was going to therapy, pain subsided in one foot and other was still going for, then a year ago it got better so I started doing my walks again and zumba. Then it came back and now it's a killer, but I'm not giving up. Going to start working out little by little....
Our daughter was always skinny, around age 10 she started gaining weight, she's 15 now and needs to lose weight, the weird thing is that she does but it still  heavy for her age.

Have You got a pool or some place with a pool? Look for water aerobics.
Less strain on your body and joints.
The Secret to losing weight is to Eat food slowly  all day every hour eat a small something don't do big meals or do the Big meal first of the day then smaller meal for lunch then a soup or sandwich for dinner. O.o Does that make sense?
The problem I have with work outs by yourself is you fall into lack of motivation to continue then you stop might look into doing it with a group of friends to help you mentally keep on. O.o Anyway *Huggles* :3flower;

Yeah tis a problem, not that I am fat, but I do wish I could lose an inch or two off the waist. Back when I was foreman for the Orlando Arena project and had to constantly walk the project to keep on top of what was happening, so I could keep the crew informed and going forward, that was the most recent time that I was happy about the waist. Walking about eight miles a day up and down stairs in the ten months that the part of the project I was working ran. I lost four inches off the waist, went from a 34" down to a 30" the sad thing is since that amount of exercise has ceased I have gone right back up to a 34" again.

Don't always count on Fruits and Veggies to make one thinner.  Doesn't work that way at all.  Without exercise those foods settle in just like all foods do.  And Exercise does not mean a big work out.   A walk in the park, a swim in a pool, up and down the stairs on a rainy day, etc.

Pushups, situps, track machines, etc are for those that want to define their muscles....not for us ordinary folks that just want to take a few inches off the waist line.  My doctor told me "Just Walk" and you'll stay at the weight your at.  I've been 155 lbs for the past 11 years now....and only go up and down a pound or two every now and then...but always settle back to 155.

Wish I could get back down to the 175 mark.

Was at my lightest 155 during the Arena job and am now up to 185 plus or minus

Apparently not enough activity in the daily to make a difference ... :Felix:
