This summer might be fun Anim8or, Blender, Manga Studio EX5 and Poser 10 all to learn :woohoo:

Or study for my CET certificate

New here and i know i'm reviving a dead horse but...
I did this tut

It was fairly easy and it came out great so i jumped into the deep end importing clothing rigs and trying to make clothes etc but i drowned and gave up. :D
Now back to placing the models rather than making them. :)

Don't feel bad I have yet to watch them and this was after stating school was out and I was supposedly going to have time to learn something new :thud:

Promises, promises :sigh:

Although I did study for my CET exam and passed it so I guess one out of two is a start

One of the biggest problems I see very often with people wanting to dive into new modeling packages is jumping into the deep end of the pool before they've gotten their feet wet.

Take your time to play around with the tools in Blender; get a feel of how she works on simple tasks before hitting the open road. It's kinda like someone who's ridden a Huffy 10 speed all of their life and nothing more....then throwing their legs over my buddy's Iron Horse and going for a spin.

You're gonna get killed, assuming you make it out of the driveway without stalling out!

That was interesting, one day I may try it again but last time (very older version) was smarter than me.

We have a blender section in the Learning center so feel free to plop any tuts/videos and such in there too....or for any other program you find in that section. The learning center has tuts and questions and info and needs fed...LOL

Thanks for the tut.
Fear not,
You are never alone,
I am there to comfort and guide you...
Always.

Believe me...it's much safer then getting near that one with snakes on her head.  At least that's what Fafnir tells me

Hmm...Fafnir does seem to keep tabs on her...makes one wonder some times. You do have a point!

Now...as for this challenge.... Did anyone ever take this on?

I watched part of the tut and I am certainly thinking the easiest thing to create in Blender would be to follow one of those tuts and make it happen, that way one you get your feet wet and two you have at last created something in Blender even if it is two pool balls.

It is a start and for a green horn like me I think that is what is going to happen over the next couple.

As to Fafnir keeping tabs on Kianna it is actually more of keeping her informed as to Luffie's whereabouts he do try so very hard to elude me that sometime Fafnir spots him and lets Kianna know where he is trying to hide.

The big thing with learning any modeling software is just to start simple, like dRaCX said. And yeah, ahem...balls are a great place to start. Then do something squarish and work your way up a little at a time. Don't think just because you can make billiard balls, you're gonna do advanced stuff next. That's where you crash and burn for sure.
