That's not true! There are NEVER more ladies than I can shake my stick at!
 :pervy: :tearlaugh: :tearlaugh: :tearlaugh:

:tearlaugh: :tearlaugh:

Keep in mind though that the ladies are partial to using the female models in their creations also.  Both in pinups and 3D Creations.....  There is only so much you can do to glamorize a guy  :tearlaugh:

Not so, I'm afraid. It's just that 'that's what sells' - at least in my experience. I'd do male pinups all the time but then are the remarks or non-comments because if a guy says it looks good oh someone might think he's 'funny'.

For example, I can post a female pinup on RO and get 200 hits. I might only get a pathetic 15-20 comments, but still that's a lot of hits for someone who's not in with the in crowd there. If I post a male pinup, I might get 40 hits and 15 comments.

It's messed up. Ya'll are so worried about looking gay if you make a nice comment on a male pinup it's not funny. It's pinup art...and the Mediterranean peoples sort of invented it. And most of those models and statues were male. How times do change.

Well, I'm never afraid to comment on male art....Art is art...if it's good it deserves a comment.....

But I do see your point.  Never thought of it like that.....

I know you do, but you are in the minority there, TL. I do have friends who are male and artists who will comment on them, but they are the ones who like you, see 'art is art' and it doesn't matter. I have other male friends who will comment on my male pinups and say something like "Not my cuppa tea, but looks great..." or whatever. See there's that qualifier/caveat in there ;)

It's just silly, imo.

Really, I wasn't meaning to say women don't like to use the female characters in their pinups - because there's a certain element there of grown-up 'playing with dollies and dressing them up', which I even like to do and I'm not knocking at all. But far more ladies will comment on female pinups than men commenting on male pinups.

Both the male and female forms are beautiful in their own way - well the 'ideal' ones. And so are animals. There's nothing more beautiful or glorious than a fine horse, or a big cat, or bull, etc. in all their power and grace. It's art. Mother Nature's very wonderful art.

We don't want penile shaped bananas or strippers. We want muscles and macho that doesn't look like it came out of a candy-box.

Sheesh!!

this!

Fair enough, i do women a lot too (that might sound a bit weird but... :D )
That is exactly the thing, we (well, i'll speak for myself here) don't want a glamour guy.
Let me try to explain with the lyrics "Ugly Boy" from "Die Antwoord"
"Oooh i love my ugly boy, so rough and tough don't care about anything else but me."
"Yes i just love him cause he's so crazy, he's crazy about me"
Looks help, brute strength too, but they are not obligatory.

Now tell me where all the smileys are at or else!  :i-beback:

A brain helps too. Agreed...no 'pretty boys', a little rough around the edges and decent looking is nice. I definitely like 'brawn' but a brain is absolutely a necessity.

And the "brain" part is something that goes both ways, several times in the past when I was young and dumb ...

:ummm: might still be that :thud:

I have met, associated and even dated ladies that the only bright thing about them were their buttons. Or worse still they were ate up with the "I'm hot" vanity sin and one was to kow-tow to their every wish just to get a peck on the cheek.
Then again, as mentioned I wasn't that bright either, so that explains the first bankruptcy, however we be marginally better in that department these days.

I think :duh:

Thinking we might have at last officially  :hijacked: this at long last.

A new record methinks I counted approx. 6 to 7 hijackings in this thread and yes it started on the first page :woohoo:

Plus we even came back to the original topic each time ... now you tell me when is the last time you saw that at any of those other places.

Without them getting cranky and what not about it.
