Love it? YES! Use it? NO WAY! If I could do that, I'd go to work professionally and make a mint.

There are much easier ways to do all this using some of the same techniques in PShop, with Gaussian Blurred 'Screen' and 'Soft Light' layers and, if you like, Outer Glow, if you're not using a photo but a render. For shadows, use a 'Multiply' layer and then erase what you don't want after you've cranked the density % down to where you want the shadows, with a largish soft (0% density) brush.

Save your render of your character as a .png with no background (like a cyclorama) but the background image you're going to use as a back. Or render the background stuff separately from your character and use it as an attached background.

Like this.

"Mein Gott in Himmel" what a highly detailed vid we do so love it bunches will have to see how well I can use the techniques outlined in my next posting.

Not gonna give all my secrets away but here's some glowing butterflies and how I did it. The longest part was labeling the layers.

The butterflies are by Red Devil - "Butterfly Swarm" at Rendo MP. They were rendered all by themselves in Poser and saved as a .png. The .png was put over the background in PShop and then you'll see what else I did in the image.

The bigger something is, the more percentage you have to apply Gaussian Blur. Like for a character that's fairly close up, you might want to try about 35%. Just don't blur the original layer.
