I have a problem. I don't find the "rough selection"  :worried?:

(i know that is no very important, but i have french photoshop, and this tool don't appear. I have CS2, maybe the reason?).

Use the 'Wand' selection tool (right column, second down), Aelin. When it says 'rough' it only means to select a 'rough outline' around the figure. That is, it is not a 'precise' selection.

Better? ;)

You are welcome!

Are you using a render or a photograph, Aelin?

If a render, can you save your renders in DAZ in .png format?

If so, render character(s) on black background and save as .png - then you will have nothing to erase from them. Voila! Problem is solved. Unless you want to do all this unnecessary work.

Do you have in "Layer" (Couche) menu a selection at the bottom called "Matting" (Je ne sais pas ce mot pour cette chose en Français)? You can experiment with this as well, with 'Defringe' and 'Remove White/Black Matte' for the hair especially.

A suggestion for your crystals:

See in your menu where is the hand under the bucket? Right click and select 'Dodge' tool (like black looking glass).

Make it small, soft size to fit within crystals and maybe 30-35% opacity.

Select 'Highlights' for it.

Now lightly go along your crystals with this little brush until you see it become lighter. This will make the crystals glow inside, not only on the outside!

Or you can be lazy like me and copy and paste it in Translate .... one of the apps on the gmail home page in FF.

I can roll over each word in English on the one side and see the corresponding translation on the other side.

i use a render here. For render format in DS, i don't know. I don't use the tool for work renders. I take "save render as", and make them in jpg.

Layer is often "calque" here; but i few tutorials, we can have "couche" indeed.
For "Matting", i don't know too  :flagwaving:

i haven't PS for the moment; so, i must see what is "dodge" too  :tearlaugh: (not really good translate for this). Idem for 'Highlights'.
I try last evening to create a soft light with "internal glow" ("lumière interne" here). But indeed, not really result.

Learn foreign languages at school is always random. I have a teacher one year who corrected my mistakes in time for verbs. After the New Yorker student in stage looked at my corrected text (and right)... for corrected time of verbs and replace the text as I'd done.  :tearlaugh: :tearlaugh:
