like any other art ---- music, art, design, etc

there is no way to predict....one can be the "thing" today and not tomorrow. Striving for them to look right and be universal in use is to me the best thing.

Awesome pointers DarkAngel... any rules as to lighting???  Seems to me there should be no harsh shadows so they can be used with lots of different backgrounds???  I think I'll give it a try... Most of the read mes I've read say you can use the products in renders but not give the objs away... So i'm thinking tubes are considered renders?  So my content should be fine to use.  oo now I'm excited... :)

lighting is dependant on how/what you are using for the tube. shadows, on any of the ones I make I  render without ground shadows showing so that they can be placed onto the scene easier. If by chance the user has the angle of their lighting on the opposite side of my tube, then the tube can be flipped to the other side-- from left to right or the other way....which is why I try to avoid anything that has wording on it for a tube.

A tube is an image on a transparent background. Normally saved as png to open in any paint programme. Can be used for making pictures and scenes and also if you do scrapbooking or your own greetings cards too.

Thanks Carolann... hum.. I know about pngs... didn't realize they were used for scrapbooking and greeting cards too... My mind is racing now ;0 ... THANK YOU!

TUBES are used in my Paintshop Pro... but they are something totally different.. hence my confusion about them here.  In paintshop they are used to make grass... clouds... I've even used them to make my own fabric and backgrounds.

I must be doing something wrong as every time I go there and click on anything I get a blank page.

I use FF as well and I get nothing. I even tried disabling NoScript and AdBlock which gave me a dialog at the bottom of the page that showed some of the content but it was a thumbnail at a time.

So don't know what the issue is with me and this site, but I can't see a thing on it as you happened to be describing

Ah well, I do not use tubes to start with, so I guess I will just have to view them when you or others use them instead.
