You keep this up though then I am going to have to teach him the transdimensional geometry to enable him to fit more in that small on the outside but large on the inside closet of his.....:heeheehee:

I've been using Incendia off and on for about 4 months now. It has it's Pros and Cons as do all applications. It's not a true Fractal program as far as Being able to manipulat the formulas in a traditional mathmatical way but it's real fun to mess around with it's modeling/fractal interactions..

Pros:
The ability to Save the Render Buffer at any point during Render and then when you want to start again you will start reght where up left off and loose nothing.

Custom Mats are as simple as using a 256X256 Bmp of anything you want to try.

Complete control of Ambient and Difuse material Strength and lighting as well as External lighting.

X,Y,Z axis Control either interactively or seperately

Add as many Baseshapes to any selected Fractal Formuls and select and assign a seperate material for each.

That's the Pros I can think of right off the top

Cons:

It is a Never Ending Render Engine. By that I mean a Render Never truly finishes because it is a Bit Renderer. That is the reason for the Save Buffer, stop the Render at any Point and Look at the result to see if it has Rendered enough for what you are trying for.
(I've had some be fine after an Hour and some as long as 17 hrs and still not soup)

Only output format is Bitmap

Only 4 rigid Render sizes

Really lousy Filter selection for final Image output (my opinion)

It' a pretty cool piece of software to fiddle with but it drives me nuts too. There is an Incendia site where you can get some info on using it other than the Download location also and an Incendia group at DA I think.

Here is the Incendia Blog
http://www.incendia.info/  (at the 10/30/14, link doesn't work)

I'll be happy to answer any questions I can but I'm really no Expert with it

(definition of Expert....Ex is a has been and a Spert is a Drip under pressure)
