Time for critiques, comments, suggestions, praise, kick in the pants or a fresh bottle of :sake:

These are compressed and re sized to fit within the forum the original is a full A4 size and weighs almost 4 MB

The front cover attached was worked on by Shellmoon. I added a little polish and editor names to it.

For rookies I don't think we are doing that bad.

Great job on the covers "J" but as you say....let's see what the folks have to say.

you know i' ain't shy when it comes to this !  :wigglebutt:

I'm in total awe about the front ... I LOVE IT !

The back looks great .... not sure but ... (and yes here i am)

the image by bea and the one underneath are in same colortone. Personally i think the grey image is .... disturbing the balance of the page. Leave the image by bea and the one underneath bring the lettering more together and remove the grey image ??

I really like the back cover.  The front one is nice (especially the green part...LOL)  Not totally sure about the render on the cover - even though WE know/understand the concept - would someone who doesn't like faes, etc - even bother to pick it up based on the cover?  By itself, it looks like a good render - but in comparison to the rest of the book - it seems off.  JMO

Based on input regarding the back cover here is take two. There is also a minor re-write of the text so please read and evaulate.

Maybe we have to reverse the images.  Multiple on front and one on the back with the write up.....

Sorry I disagree.

One image on the front to grab ones attention in all of the art books that I have there is not a single one that has multiple images on the front. But several have multiple images on the back or just one.

Thus the word "MAYBE" cause I agree with you on that point.....

But no matter what we put on the cover....it's up to the one looking at the cover to wonder about what is on the inside

So I say Stick with the one we have...it's a grabber.....

so true, many will grab it because of the fairy, others will leave it...something magical will attract also but it is so hard to find  a happy medium when it comes to art....hence a fabulously created front cover to show potential of insides of book. The fairy is sweet.

I myself sometimes ignore the front cover and go with the title and what the back cover says.

glad you changed it from before because it read too much like a front cover...even still a bit but will suffice as a back cover.

I liked having 3 images on the back cover, maybe you can find another one closely to the same clors as the two already there. Even in floral arrangements, interior design and art....3, 5 , 7 and so forth is much better than even numbers.

Final placement of the poetry I put together a layout and submitted it to the other two and on the surface everything looks good but there was points about the dispersion of the poetry that both commented seemed off, so am currently waiting updates from them as to locations so I can then recompile it, then proof the layout once more.

Still have the "artist bio" page to figure out.

Plus some input here as well, http://thefantasiesattic.net/attic/index.php?topic=1347.msg23972#msg23972

Oh and I could use some larger sized banners from both the site and store plus maybe an ad for the store for the very back of the book.
