I'm already working on a product, but it will be standalone OBJ format for use in any staging application that can accept it. I'm obviously not good enough at doing Poser or DAZ Studio formats yet.
DAZ Studio, Bryce, Poser, Wings 3D, Howler, Blender, PSP, Hexagon, MSO PowerPoint & Word, just a few of the programs I use.

Yet, your Executionner axe is in pp2 format  :dancing_skeleton: And it works in Poser and Daz without problem.
But indeed object format allows perhaps more easily to work in Bryce.

I think, and that is iffy....but if a person were to use the .pp2 in Poser, then texture it if needed (might not need to), then export it as a wavefront obj it will work in Bryce just fine.

It would act just like a non-parented prop.

I shall add you to the list too!

I think I can come up with something again this year......got some ideas that people would enjoy. Just send me a reminder so I remember to send them in in time.   :so-shy:

Will add you to the list and remind you.

I know that procedure works great in Vue... I used a few of Dryjack's buildings for this scene:

http://thefantasiesattic.net/attic/cpg/displayimage.php?album=621&pid=21890#top_display_media

I opened the PP2s in Poser, then exported them in .obj format. They imported to Vue perfectly - I don't see why it wouldn't work in Bryce. I may have to fire up Bryce (haven't used it in a few years) and see what happens. I'm betting it will work just fine.  :java:
If all is not lost, why can't I find it??  :thud:

As a regular Bryce user, I can say without a doubt that you can texture a UV mapped product, export as an OBJ, and import it into Bryce, and it will work. In the Materials Lab of Bryce the textures will be using Parametric mode. Any other mode will look wonky on the model. Bryce is one of two art programs I know a lot about, the other being DAZ Studio which has a bridge the allows file to be move from each to the other. For landscapes, and quite a few other things, Bryce is hard to beat.

Yes, I am a Bryceaholic, and proud of it!

I love Bryce's skies and water and for some reason have not installed it in either the PC nor the Mac and I have Bryce7 I think...LOL

And yuppers I used to load some things in poser, then export to wavefront obj then import it into bryce.

but did not remember if it is still part of Bryce since that was mainly done in B5 and 6

It most certainly does work in B7, DA. That's the version I have. Sure would like to see a new version though and I'd love it to be both 32 and 64 bit, like DAZ Studio and Poser. Alas it appears they have abandoned making new builds!

I've seen some jaw-dropping things done with Bryce. For some reason, I could never get it to do anything more than a few simple renders. If I tried to texture something, it would just crash 90% of the time.. I'm certainly open to the possibility of it being a DFO issue, though.. (DFO = Dumb F#$%# Operator...  :thud: )LOL

I have used it a few times to 'fix' obj or 3ds files I've downloaded that were all farked up, and did screwy things when I imported them to Poser.. :java:
If all is not lost, why can't I find it??  :thud:

Well now. I happen to know quite a bit about it and can help with it if you should decide you want to learn. I can also direct you to a series of excellent video tutorials done by my good friend David Brinnen, from whom I have learned a lot about Bryce. His way of doing a tutorial is not like most. He is also quite willing to answer any questions you may have about it. Finally there is a Bryce Users Guide in PDF format that is supposedly a WIP, but is of all the guides found at DAZ the most complete, with well over 400 pages, including screenshots to show what is being discussed. I have it and have benefitted from it a lot.

So you see, there is a lot of info available concerning Bryce, and I definitely recommend it and the Bryce program. Let me know if you are interested.

BTW, the background behind my avatar is done using Bryce!

Hey, Agent, thanks for your kind offer - you may regret it when I start bugging you!  :OMFG:

It will probably be after the Holidays before I start fiddling with Bryce again, but I think I may just get back into it soon...

!!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow!!! !!!!! The Royals just won the World Series!  :happydance:

Oh I have help from several resources for you RodS. In the things I can help with myself, I will provide on my own, for the things I am still needing to learn, and there are a lot of them, we can sit at the feet of a Guru like David Brinnen and learn together. As for the basics, I got that covered fairly well. I will be introducing you to the different basic features, and several advanced ones. It will be fun!
