A botched gall-bladder surgery? Hmmm, I thought those were pretty much perfected by now. How sad. Sorry to hear that situation, and he and his loved ones are in my thoughts.

Thanks much Mary, Rod n Ray!  I thank ALL of you for the well wishes and prayers.  Sis updated his status earlier, he's still dodging a tracheotomy by just a little bit.  They are wanting to take the breathing tube out, but can't if he doesn't pass his free-breathing test.
Yeah, internal infection caused by leaking of left over bile and gall stone in the pancreas.  And likely a couple of misplaced incisions that did not get closed.  Laproscopic surgery.  Works well with well practiced, experienced surgeons.
All the elder women in the family had the old normal gall bladder surgery.  My baby sis had hers out by laproscopy.  Our other sister had hers out the same time as ruptured appendix 'overhaul'.  She got a sternum to pelvis zipper that time.   :OMFG:   All my daughters had laproscopic gall bladder ops, no problems at all.  My nephews youngest daughter had hers out just a month ago.  But at the big hospital in Amarillo.  Not here.  Too many things going wrong in the Regional Hospital here.  Hers went just fine too.  Just that he is so sick worries me a lot.  He lost right at 100 pounds since August.  He started out at 300 pounds.

Today is only TUESDAY!  I know I'm out of it, thinking tomorrow was Thanksgiving already.  Ha!  That's ok, those two large turkey breasts will thaw on their own in the fridge just fine this way.  I can have them cooked and ready to serve, just the right timing!    :yippee:
 :thanks1:

Gee.  I got  my little telescope all figured out and set up, it got dark, I step outside and it's raining.  Ha! :OMFG:
 :explode:

Sounds about right just when one thinks they can have a little entertainment to ease the grey cells ... along comes ...  :rainy:

Well, we did find one of those partial turkeys that was mentioned a couple three days ago so we shall have a turkey dinner this year, probably the first turkey dinner since I moved out all those centuries ... oops decades ... past.

Actually a feast this time of the year before Winter sets in is very old and was commonly done everywhere - just maybe not on this day or that. This IS a Native Tradition that white people adopted because of the whole symbology of it that regretfully was seemingly trashed and seldom told in full.

GAH! Black Friday - I do not even venture outside on this day!!! Too many crazies!!

Thanks for all the positive thoughts, well wishes and prayers folks!  They have still not brought him up to full awake yet.  He says lots of things hurt 'in there' now.  He just turned 42 end of July.  Some birthday present!

On a happier note:  I did go to WalMart this morning.  got my little tabletop reflector telescope and shopped up a bunch of turkey dinner related food.  TL I don't recall eating any Jenny O bird before today.  I sliced up a small  cooked turkey corner and made me 3 sandwiches for my lunch a while ago.   Pretty good bird!  I have another I'll heat up first.  Got 2 big frozen turkey breast items too.  Think Tyson and a Cajun one too!  Will be cooking them in the morning!  Got stuffings, gravy, cranberry sauce, punkin pie, sweet tater pie, veggies!  Lots of coffee!   Yeah, got it on now!

Got my Jenny-O thawing out in the sink full of water right at the moment.  Gotta get the neck and giblets out for my dressing and gravy broth....

Glad you liked it.....I converted to Jenny-O years ago though Butterball is also pretty darn good LOL

Good Evening to all.....

Yes, my first visit of the day but I got A LOT DONE here today.

Got two Pumpkin Pies made up, (1) Blueberry Pie, and (1) Apple Crumb Pie made up also....all ready to pop in the oven tomorrow.

Working on my broth shortly but wanted to stop in and say......

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY tomorrow with family and friends.  I may even have time to come in here and visit since we'll be having a late turkey dinner and my turkey will be in the oven so I'll have little to do.

You can bet I'll have the Potatoes peeled and sliced already, the vegetables ready to go, the rolls laid out and lightly buttered and ready to pop in the oven, ......  the dressing will be made at 8AM tomorrow which is the time that my broth should be ready for the gravy .....so all in all....I'm on schedule  :thud:

"J"  glad you are going with Turkey this year.  Like I said...those Turkeys hit the spot during the year when one craves some good Turkey LOLOL....

I'm going to head over to the voting booth now ..... and I may get a chance to stop in a little later on....depends on how fast that turkey thaws out :tearlaugh:
