To transform materials files
« on: February 28, 2016, 02:05:11 PM »
My example comes of my last freebie, Elegant corsair for V4
We need to change only the beginnig of the code to transform all the rest in the good format for Daz.
Code: [Select]
{
version
{
number 4.01
}
mtlCollection
{
material Straps
{
KdColor 0.972549 0.972549 0.972549 1
KaColor 0.486275 0.486275 0.486275 0
KsColor 0.886275 0.886275 0.886275 1
TextureColor 1 1 1 1
NsExponent 5
tMin 0
tMax 0

I take several lines in more to show a little better the code. But those which are interesting are only the 6 first.

Code: [Select]
{
version
{
number 4.01
}
mtlCollection

You have 2 choices to change materials, all depends of what is your pack. We'll see after.

For a cr2 as base (figure, furniture, architecture, vehicle...) you need of this kind of code

Code: [Select]
{
version
{
number 4.01
}
        figure

For a pp2 (a prop), you need more a start of code like this
Code: [Select]
{
version
{
number 4.01
}
        actor $CURRENT

And don't forget to save the changes in .pz2 format.

Of course, if the material file of Poser has particular nodes and if you use DS3, not all parts with work correctly (i think to reflection for example; for this, you need often to sort manually).

Poser Pro got even better this year.

They have made it easier on content creators by integrating Poser Pro Game Dev into Poser Pro 11.

Now the content creators can create for runtimes and games with only one program!
