I'll let the video do the talking!

What is with the audio on that first one?! It sounds like a bad robotic voice speaking! Have we come to that now too? Robot reporters and anchors? The humanity of it all! :thud:

As for the guy that did that well I'd have to agree with the guy on the second one. Which reminds me of an old saying my Dad used to have which I shant repeat but I'm sure you probably heard it from your Dad.

As for the Buddhist monk - they don't know how to spontaneously combust any more? Sigh. The DO have much to protest however. But that's not the way. Ever.

Lordy, we live in a mad, mad, mad world.

I've been seeing a lot of videos with that robot type voice recently. I think since the advent of Cortana and other virtual assistant types of programs, people have more or less started using those thing to do the talking for them. In some ways it reminds me of Steven Hawking, but he would be unable to even communicate his ideas if it were not for his virtual assistant. His device tracks were he looks on his screen to help him say what he wants to say. Personally I think that is something that most would hate having to do, but these people making these videos using the technology most likely have less lofty reasons for using it.

Yes, well one of the 'uses' of Cortana by hackers is to distribute virii.

Not to mention I HATE robotic voices.

For the second video, I don't believe it at all. I think it's a video editing to do a hoax or to serve a viral campaign, probably against Trump.
What allows me to tell that, can you ask ?
At first, we can see the guy putting gas on him and immediately after that, we can see him burning from feet until head, but we can't see him lighting up the fire.
The first images of the video were pretty good, but the next ones became suddenly blurred and unstable while a moment and then everything became pretty good again. For me, it looks like a video editing made with a mix of several different movies.
After the blurred and unstable images, we can see again the guy who's already burning since about 1 minute and despite this, he can walk easily here and there on the pavement. What a lucky one!
After that, we can see some sympathizing witnesses who try to put out the fire. Nice intention for sure, but I can't see any sign of burn on the skin, not even on the face, after about two minutes of full fire. More and more lucky this guy!
And finally, the whole video itself. Only two minutes with the guy burning and then, about eight minutes of speech to pass a sort of propaganda.

As for the first video, it doesn't prove anything and indeed, the monotonous voice we can hear makes think of something robotic.

You could be right, but I'm reserving judgement for now until I see debunking or corroborating evidence.

As told elsewhere on line, it IS true or else everyone and their dog is spreading the false rumor.

So there should be a news channel of some sort of video for it. I do prefer not to take unnecessary chances however. As the old saying goes better safe than sorry.

I do appreciate you removing it Cleve. :ty02: and :mwah:

And what Neimrok said  - ditto. Just too many little niggly things in it are 'discomfiting'.
