Oh, okay - since it starts when you're born and not a year old.

That would make me at cycle 5.83333333333333333333 :thud:

That's the problem - you're actually a year older than your age but somehow it doesn't count when you say how old you are.

Weird traffic incident to relate here.

A few years ago a friend was at a stop sign waiting for traffic to clear. Some idiot thought they could make it across the highway at one point from the other side. There was a cop in a police cruiser behind my friend. The guy that was coming across got t-boned by a trucker in the right side rear fender area, which spun the vehicle right into my friend's car. His car was knocked back into the police cruiser, and both his car and the police cruiser were totaled. Neither he nor the cop was injured seriously, but the cop charged him with contributing to an accident. When he asked the cop what he meant by that, the cop said he was "in the wrong place at the wrong time!"

My friend sued that cop, but by the time a decision was made in my friend's favor, 3 years had passed. He wound up settling for what he could get, which by the time his lawyer was paid was hardly anything worth all the trouble that cop caused him. The guy coming across the highway had no insurance, and as far as we know did not suffer any charges for the accident.

I was thinking after hearing about what that cop did that he should have been glad there was another vehicle between him and the t-boned car.

Mine is in February, and yes it's the big six oh! :yeow:

Me? Well I am looking for a place to hide on that day! All my bothers and sisters will be trying to congratulate me, saying "So you finally made it to 60... Ya old geezer!" Thing is they are all younger than me, and I am in better health than any of them.

gears are very useful when driving in the  mountains  brakes  burn out to quick and snow and  ice  usually  require  chains and a lot of  common sense to keep your  rig  from going over  the  side   and yes  summer  storms  do  come up quickly  in higher  elevations and are  usually  quite  nasty

I was thinking after hearing about what that cop did that he should have been glad there was another vehicle between him and the t-boned car.

He probably did that to CHA (akin to CYA in second person) because I believe 'a ticket' has to be issued where an accident has occurred for insurance purposes...and since he was incapable of chasing down the other guy that caused it at the time - who should also have been ticketed (DEFINITELY!) - he issued your friend a ticket as well. Yes, he is lucky your friend's car was there. But not your friend.

Reminds me of a Tarot reading I did once where I pronounced "You'll win, but you won't" Made no sense to me because the guy didn't tell me anything about himself - until he called me back later and told me he won his court case (a Workman's Comp suit that was well founded) but by the time the lawyers and doctors took out their cut he didn't have much of anything left. Got himself an nice power mower though. How sad to go through all of that for chump change in the end.

Yup, chains are best but try pulling over between mountain towns which are few and far between, to the side of the road where you may or may not be sure where the side of the road is, and chaining up in a sudden snow storm.

Or worse - there IS nowhere to pull over big enough for a rig without endangering your life from passing motorists. There's places like that too.

Not only that, but the parts you don't want to get stiff do, and the ones you do want to get stiff don't...........  :shiv3: Not that I'm speaking from experience, of course.....   :thud:
