A little reminder of rules (maybe a summarize is better indeed):
- show at least 1 knight of the Arthurian world: Lionel, Tor, Tristan, Bedivere, Black Knight... brief a guy known by the legend.
- he must have a total or partial armor in the scene, or courtly attire.
- knight must be named, either in the title, or/and in the text coming with the picture.

- and accessorily, yes if you wish you can add with him some other people (know or unknow of the Arthurian world) in your creation(s).

Can we play gender bender games? For example make "he" and "she" or does the sex have to be true to history?

Actually, I shouldn't say "true to history". I should say, "true to the story".

There is a considerable body of 'Arthurian' tales and romances. When most people think of the story of King Arthur, they rather automatically think of "Le Morte d'Arthur" by Mallory. However these stories began long before Mallory was ever born.

One of the earliest stories in which Arthur is mentioned is the 11th Century Welsh tale "Culhwch and Olwen", where Culhwch is a cousin of Arthur's. Arthur's lands are said to be in Cornwall, here.

There is a list here of Arthurian characters and which story is about them. Some are featured in several stories:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Arthurian_characters

If they're in blue, they're linked to their own page, where you can read about them.

Just thought that might be of some help for you all if you're stumped.

That is to say, if you're looking for ladies, there are plenty of them in that list. There is Morgan le Fay, The Lady of the Lake, Guinevere, the Green Knight's Queen, Bloedwedd, the Lady of Shallot...there just has to be a knight in the image as well.

Me too. The thing with them is they're so astute about what goes on and is going on in the world around them and they tell it like it is, but they make it also as ridiculously stupid and funny (in a strange sense) in it's way and you can't help but laugh. Every one of them is brilliant in their own particular brand of comedy as well. Together, they were awesome! That bit above is almost 'quintessential Python'. That and the Holy Handgrenade of Antioch bit - which is possibly the Ultimate Python Moment.

How about "A Fish Called Wanda"? :tearlaugh:

Ok, I say rules a last time for the challenge, because COTM theme isn't just in the title. After I'll do no more reminder.  :zipit:

- show at least 1 knight of the Arthurian world => it must be a knight from the legend. Not a knight of this legend = out of rules. (list to help you was given twice in this topic).

- HE must have a total or partial armor in the scene, or courtly attire.

- the knight must be named, either in the title, or/and in the text coming with the picture => This allows everybody to know what is your choice, and why not look the story of the knight.

* and accessorily, yes if you wish you can add with him some other people (know or unknow of the Arthurian world) in your creation(s). BUT a knight must be in the scene.

Voilà! All is said here; it looks like a lot of rules, but a frame is necessary for the COTM, and it's always possible to create many works.
It's up to you now!
