How to Achieve DOF without using Rendering Software Part 2
« on: July 16, 2017, 11:01:22 AM »

You will want to set up your entire scene and lighting.   You will clear all the foreground items and make a render of the background, and then clear the background and render the foreground.

To clear the objects:

In Poser you will go to the properties tab and uncheck the visible tab for the object you either want to blur or for the objects that will be you want focused.  The items you click will not be seen or render into the scene.
(Make sure you select ground and uncheck the visible in Poser or the ground plane will show up in render.)

For DAZ studio you will go to the Scene Tab and click on the eyes this will make the object invisible.

When the render is done you will either want to save or export as a png or GIF file as to preserve the render without doing extra work in the photo editor it will work as an alpha channel.

Once you have the two layers together the blur the background layer in your photo editor.  I like using gaussian blur myself.

Save as jpg, or other picture file and then do your final editing to the picture.

Thank you for the piece of advice. We don't think always to the blur part in renders.

Your Welcome Aelin, we now have updated picture for this and will have new ones soon for part 1.  In poser it is not very easy to get an DOF effect.  This is time consuming but for those who use poser it can be a lot easier for them.
