You've probably already have done this...but since it worked at the shop...have you tried using different outlets at home instead of the ones you would normally plug into.  Doesn't make sense why it would work at the shop and not at your home which tells me it's not the puter but the power supply.

Not without removing the CPU fan and heat sink as it is buried underneath

It just seems a bit overkill in my mind since it was working yesterday morning and the system has been up and running for over a year and for RAM to just go belly up that quick, doesn't mean that it can not, but it seems unlikely

More background this is a custom built system and has been up for a bit longer then a year so far, could have sworn I had pictures posted here somewhere but they seem to be eluding me at the moment

So far just one of them, (no change) the other is still in the UPS, so need to find me two unused outlets close to it and try that, should be able to leave the monitors plugged in as they are with no problem.

But in the meantime I am going to walk away from it, whilst I go shopping.

Rebuilt a previous UPS unit and the voltage reading on it is 124V and it still thumbs its nose at me.

Tis one of my 2000w UPS units. I bought a while back and the batteries are past due for replacement ... technically were, as I got the one rebuilt today. Have one more to rebuild and then we will have a pair of my better UPS back on the job once again.

Granted will check the circuits in the house, so I put them on different circuits so as to keep thing "sort of" balanced.

But as mentioned the hard drive light is not even coming on so it is not booting up properly ... still

So frustrating this is ..............

Get an extension cord and go around testing the plugs in your house maybe the wall circuit has a bad fuse?

Yes, that was how the problems that I had were all fixed ....

Windows update and Window defender was not updating properly

The back up to the internal (USB drive), yes I mounted an external drive inside the case just for back ups, was fixed

Some setting were found also that were incorrect, such as the main one that you and others here warned me about, having the hard drive go to sleep after so many minutes.

Confusing to say the least.  Has to be something with the power source at your place.

It is not freezing up,

it is not completing the start up procedure.

And we took care of the UPS issue today and have it on a new one so we think we have that under control.

Wont truly know till Monday when I take it back to work and see what it does there granted will be trying it on different circuits in the house to see what happens here.

If it started and then froze that would be something entirely different

Did you try this:  Remove your power cord and hold the on button for 30 seconds to a minute and then connect it back and turn the computer on.

Yes I did, ye ole fellow employee at work had me do that .... might try it again since we have a new more stable power supply on it now.
