No doubt there, found a hole in the wall that only does take out place for Asian last night. My God the servings were huge and tasted fantastic.

Even had some of that left over that I used as a lunch meal at class today and the stuff was still excellent.

Me and hot and spicy is a love hate relationship, sometimes I can handle it other times not so very much. I don't mind ye ole taste buds, tongue and mouth getting warmed up. I certainly didn't expect that though from this version, which means apparently their version starts off at "hold on to your underwear"

Oh by the way if you ever fed me "atomic" best call a paramedic at the same time ... just saying ... :tearlaugh:

I have not yet been in the right place at the right time at the shop when the growers have ghost peppers available.
I know it is not for the faint of heart  but believe it or not there are four people at the shop that swear by them ... me I would probably swear at them.

I am sort of curious though so ..........

Go to the spice section of Walmart and they sometimes have it in stock get the powder and use it like a very strong spice so use very little in some mustard on some Bratwursts just to get a slight burn but it can cause tummy troubles if you use it too much.  :puah:

That is new, I had no idea that they had made it into a spice heaven forbid you get that mixed up with anything else in the collection of spices.

Will have to hunt it down to satisfy my curiosity.

Typing in a hurry on the wrong keyboard before going back to my, ahem... distributed computer :OMFG:

Yes, I too have gone several times through the thrilling experience of not being allowed to go to the toilet without a badge or a badged escort, and even of being locked off the restroom by an electronic lock unable to read an otherwise perfectly working badge. In both cases the standard solution is to find in good time a duly authorized security guard and ask kindly "would you please let me in within twenty seconds or would you prefer I used that corner?"

Yet the best came once at a safety briefing on cryogens, when a sweet little thing explained us very seriously that to handle liquid nitrogen one must wear a mask, protective gloves, an apron and thick clothes, while about a decade of personal experience had tought me that the best thing to wear while handling LN2 is your birth suit and little more - that way the possibly spilled nitrogen just slips off your skin floating on its own vapor, whereas any form of clothing would hold it there long enough to practice some very effective cryosurgery.
It took a while and plenty of diplomacy to persuade her that experimental facts trump any amount of official theoretical fibs assumptions...

OK Chiron, playtime is over. Roll up your sleeves again, your E-puzzle is still waiting!

P.S.: there's no limit to what you can put on a pizza, but you'll better have someone else taste it before eating your share :tearlaugh:

Well, it got interesting today, I had concerns about the no-ox I use when I attach lugs to wire and bus bars, as I read about the fact that there is no less then three different types of the substance ... oh great don't tell me I have been doing it wrong all these years.

Turns out I am good as I am using the "general purpose version"

Next up grounding from the primary bus out to wherever, I ran into this when I was doing a complete console upgrade for a PD/FD location. The fun part was the sizing of the main ground bus to be compliant with the overall length of the run.

Someone was trying to say oh you can just run a #2 from each bus bar you put out on the floor and tie them all together as they are all less then 33' apart from each other.

WRONG

I have to run a main ground bus size according to the total distance it is going, yes I can run off of each bus in the chain with a #2 to get close to my console positions but the main run had to be sized according to the total distance.

Ye ole City of didn't like that because the install then required a #3/0 to be installed, along with all the #2 to each quad and then a #6 up to each piece of equipment in the station times all the other stations in that quad.

The ugly part I find out today is that the install is still not compliant. Truth be told I did this upgrade prior to all the new rules but, I am wondering just how many of these guidelines are actually new.

Kind of scratching ye ole head on this one.

Crazy thing is I am about half up to specs based on what I did and there is a whole other page of you need to ground this and that on top of what you already did .... seriously .... all I can say is show me how ....

Don't tell me I have to ground the PC and the monitor, separately back to this secondary bonding bus tell me how, because can you show me where the point of attachment for a ground is on a monitor? how about a PC?

Yeah me neither ...no clue.

Other then that tomorrow is the last day and we have a few more bits to go over first thing, then a review and then the test.

:pleeeeez: Let me pass and with a score I can be happy with ... which ultimately means, high enough to go with my previous ETA certification and allow me to be called a Journeyman.

We are ever so :rat-atat: it was a written test and it is going back with the instructor to Chicago, then to the ETA headquarters and so forth, so if I am lucky it will be Friday coming up before I get an answer.

 :sadder:

I want to know now dammit :bang:

How do I think I did, well out of 112 questions, I was uncertain on five of them, there were maybe another five, that I am thinking it is going to be a matter of grammar if I get them wrong, but then again they do not tell you which ones you missed so you never learn from your mistakes.

Now the real fun I don't even get on the road to come back to my home and I am getting asked if I will work today (Saturday) we need to get antenna line pulled in before they rock the ceiling as it is a hard ceiling.

Could you give Jon a hand with it?  Seriously what the hell is wrong with you idiots, do you not bother to plan any thing out in advance ... I mean seriously and while I am bitching I thought we had a project manager so what the :soapy: was he doing and why was he not on top of all of that, plus why do I not even know of this job?

I mean I am the one that gets stuck doing all of the work, sure would be nice to know what is coming up on the horizon instead of always being kept in the dark.

I am not a damn mushroom .... I think

Watanuki hasn't play fetch yet today, I think he is still miffed at me for leaving last week and then going off to work again this morning

Well, it is turning interesting to say the least with ye ole Watanuki, mainly just getting in my lap, but at a couple times since yesterday evening he has been digging in the claws in the jeans trying to I think climb up my pants, although methinks he is a bit heavy for that, so picked him up and the next thing I know I am holding him at a most unusual angle and what is he doing, loving every minute of it.

My other cats from years ago would never allow me to hold them half way upside down in my arms. They would have bailed out in a millisecond.

Not him

Now here is one for the cuckoo's nest, he decided to get in my lap and what does he do get him self comfortable and starts to ... lick my chin ...

Not sure what was up with him a few minutes ago, he is laying down on the Japanese low table that I eat at, which at the moment is covered with books stacked in my normal haphazard manner and he is resting on one in a most possessive manner tres crazy ... ah now he is wanting to play fetch or catch or whatever the hell you want to call it.

Behavior of new cats is always weird when we had the habit of other beavior with previous ones.
In January it will be 10 years since I adopted the 'little' grey (she is the tallest of both), and I'm always learning with her. Because she had a hard life before, and some gestures sometimes are ok for her, then few minutes after she will be afraid by same gestures.
She can also accept to be in arms, then one minute after or the next time to refuse and she starts a kind of dance, almost hip hop  I'm always afraid for her back when she starts like that.

For the other, it will be already 12 years she is here. And she never lose her habit to bite after a moment, either she is happy or angry. According the vet, she was separated too earlier from the mother and it's the reason of that.
Some periods are more easier than others with this bad habits. Fortunately she doesn't do that from all her strenght.
And both are anxious with Christmas celebrations each year: one was adopted by her first family at this period; the other knew her second abandon at this period.

Brief, they have a total different behavior from the  other cats before: no problem to sleep in your laps even when you move them, to be in arms, to receive hugs (just went out once they had enough or said it with their eyes), to respect rules concerning the table...

It's possible you make the comparison a lot of time at the beginning. But you love him for sure, and he send you back already.
After, for your job, he will learn that you have period where you are less at the house than others.
