Ran the conversion numbers and damn no matter what currency it is in this stuff is still expensive.

Although truth be told when we first stood it up and ran renders on it, the differences in time needed was like night and day.

Snicker indeed although the last time I saw a computer cost that much it was an "enterprise" rated machine.

Which I guess the level of service one gets with that price tag, getting change for a Big Mac should be a given :tearlaugh:

The system is mostly NewEgg parts with a couple from Tiger Direct and was around $1200 final cost if memory serves, the wild part was once it was dialed in and set up properly it would churn out those 10+ hour renders in 15 minutes or less

STORMBRINGER is ALIVE

I got the motherboard back today and the system is now rebuilt and tested before bringing it home and set it back up, now we have to finish the dressing in of cables and power cords and other things.

But the good news is I have my computer back that has all of my art programs and content on it and just for S & G's I put Cookie on stage with hair, clothing and a texture and said render

59 seconds

Oh yeah we are so happy now

Have fun with it...I know you missed it and I'm sure it missed you also....Kinky as that sounds  :java: :tearlaugh:

Did certainly sound like it might have sounded better in your head
