clothing ideally needs to be all quads and of a similar or less density to the doll
eg careful use of edge loops so it can deform in a nice way without getting too heavy on poly count
then it needs to be cut up like the doll into arms legs etc
now in hex you would really cut it into pieces then load all bits as one obj but in blender its easier to use vertex groups [ not sure how in wings but sure we can sort that out ]

for something like a cupboard or chest of drawers......you don't have to use bones
most things can be setup as parent/child then set limits so stop doors/etc going too far

lol ......better buy a new notebook, will be lots of new ideas

do you have Bryce ?? is a good proggy to learn about constraints/limits and parent/child relationships
and I know theres some great tuts for it
being a bit simpler then poser/DS you can learn basics without some of the hassle

Yes I've got Bryce. I'll see if I can get my head round that one then...
although demented screams may be heard resonating through the eastern hallways...
and no, it doesn't mean TL has walked into Kianna head on...

It'll be me in meltdown....

Although Kianna could be convinced to stop by for a few moments to "mop thy brow" :pervy:

I know they have a video tutorial for Poser 11 on Renderosity, to learn how to rig characters, and by the way clothes. But I don't think they have one for Daz Studio.

Now I :OMG: before to see the nurse in the area!
