Or for us youngsters, we have a balmy (yep, sarcasm) 38° currently at 6:10 Eastern with a projected high of 55°

Working outside for over forty years many people don't understand why when the sun comes up it get cold.  During the night water vapor condenses and collects on the ground as dew.  When the sun rises in the morning it starts heating the ground that has been cool all night, as it heat the ground the moisture evaporates and rises up so it cools the air for a short time about the first hour or more during the sun rise depending on how moist the air is how cold it gets.  This is more noticeable during the fall, winter and early spring.  You can look at the phenomena as nature swamp cooler.

A balmy -26 here. -15 F more or less. Time to rejoin the real world. Holidays are over for most. Old retired folk like me are on a permanent holiday but I still have to grocery shop and return a small fortune in empties when it warms up a bit.

Empties... money in the bank for poor people like me. You pay a deposit on alcoholic beverage containers when purchasing beer, wine, ect. After New Years and Christmas parties there are always a few dollars in empties around.

Good Morning to all.....  And yes...we are  :shiv: like many others.    This is why I like SNOW.  When it snows...the temps are not normally this cold....  When I woke up it was -21....right now we are all the way up to -11....High today....4°

Anyone have problems with Firefox of late?  Got one of our clan trying to get a reply up but FF seems to have taken all the reply items away....from what I gather. Told them to clear the cache and see what happens next.

Anyway.....Time to finish up checking the my Mail....and take a tour in here.....

Like FF has decided to do something similar to Chrome, I haven't updated to the last version. So I have no issue for the moment.

Finally another storm could start here at midnight. But not blizzard fortunately.

Good Morning this afternoon/evening!  It was 1°F when I finally got ready for sleeping at 6:00am.  It didn't get light out till 7:30, and was so cold on the outside of my blankets I just stayed cocooned, didn't check the thermometer.  I just saw light through the windows.   I woke about 12:30, took care of me, cats and made coffee and sausage sammiches.  Yep, they are quick and easy!  Faster than fixing coffee, but if ya think I'm going coffee-less you're nuts!  LOL!  THAT was FIRST!    :yippee:

It is a bright sunny 24°F right now.  Almost up there with J!  Heh!
