Transfer V4 body morphs to smart prop?
« on: May 14, 2013, 09:18:04 AM »
Say I want to transfer morphs of a specific body part (thigh) to a smart prop (jewelry) parented to the thigh so that I can make the prop fit A4 or other figure injections for V4.  Do I have to manually create a new object as a morph target to fit A4, reimport it, refit it, & then save it again?   I could make it a figure, but I'd rather smart prop it & make other custom morphs with PP2012 morph brush or magnets.  Any advice?

magnets are in my opinion the best way to add morphs

custom morphs and FBM or PBM for that you can use the magnet sets available at DAZ http://www.daz3d.com/clothing-morphkit-for-victoria-4

Load prob as obj add the magnets, spawn morphs one by one for each morph you want.

parent to thigh and then save as a smartprop.

Thanks Amaranth, but I can't afford to buy anything right now.  I need a different way.  I've several scripts for PP2012.

ok just use the native poser magnets

morph your figure lets say to voluptious

import the obj, select it add a magnet, adjust it so it fits your V4 morph, spawn it but you got to name it the exact way V4's morphs are set up

FBM.... and PBM....

see if that works

Cool, will give it a try & let you know how I do.  :)  Thank you!

PS It might be pertinent to add that I also have DS4Pro too, but I don't know how to use all the tools within.

For a while there I was going    :nopanic; too.  Still am.  That magnet trick worked but what a tedious process. There's got to be something easier.  I was thinking of getting Dimension 3D's Morphing Clothes program, but I don't have enough $$$$.

FBM.... and PBM....
To make sure I know how to proceed, I spawn the Voluptuous morphs, PP2012 adds a dial, I create & spawn other morphs & then I create the FBM?

I used the V4 Dev Rig to rig the leg jewelry, but the morphs don't seem to affect the jewelry when I use them.  Is that because I didn't spawn them?  Got to go fiddle with that while I'm thinking about it.

Oh! Oh!  I found an easier way to morph than the magnets.
1. I took the prop into the cloth room
2. set it to constrained
3. went to frame 1 & shrank V4 down to 90%
4. went to frame 10 & resized her to 100%
5. added the morph to V4 for Voluptuous

I ran the sim & gave it 20 frames to settle & Viola!  All I have to do is spawn the morph now. On my old machine it would have taken forever & a day to drape.

Hmmmmmmm  That method doesn't seem to work with really large muscles like Body Builder....

sorry was a busy day today.

Yes creating morphs with magnets is a tedious job and sometimes you got to redo em lol

yes the 3Dimension tool is a good one.

hmm technically you can do the same with wardrobe wizard if you got that one or crossdresser i think

It's all good.  A busy day is a productive day.  LOL
I do have WW built into PP2012, but I don't have the V4, A4, or G4 license.  Wish Phil sold them at Rendo.  I at least have a little credit there.
