As day dawned, the aircraft landed. The crew members began discussions on the source of the destruction and the whereabouts of the colonists.
The main conjecture was that there had been an explosion caused by mishandling of the hydrogen fuel cells.
This did not provide a reason for the missing inhabitants of Colony 4, however.
All at once, the AI's in all of the vehicles sounded their attack alarms and said, "Incoming missiles!"
